Hudson, NH -- Cyclones goaltender Nicole Giroux (New Hampshire, USA) has committed to Nazareth College (NCAA DIII -- UCHC) for the fall of 2018. Giroux, who moved up from the Cyclones u16 team this season has had a solid season so far with an overall record of 1-2-2, including a huge draw against the Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors, holding them to just 2 scores in the game which earned her Goaltender of the Month back in October. Over her 231 minutes between the pipes this season, Giroux has made 159 saves and allowed 11 goals, posting a save percentage of .935 overall.
The Nazareth College Women's Hockey program is set to start their first season in the fall of 2018. Giroux is the first Cyclone this season to commit to a college program and the second in the league to make an NCAA Division III commitment.
